the zen room
The class where your well-being comes first,
because caring for yourself is a lesson that lasts.
well-being is worth learning
In response to the growing rise in teen mental health needs, The Zen Room offers a sanctuary within the school day — a place where presence, not perfection, leads the way.
This intentional space allows students to slow down, tune in, and explore their emotional world in a safe, respectful environment where they feel seen and heard by their peers.
The Zen room is grounded in three pillars—community, physical health, and mental well-being.

a holistic class structurE
Each session begins with community building
Activities and discussions that foster connection and trust through partner work and small circles
Social-emotional learning lesson
Students then engage in social-emotional learning lessons in large group.
Topics like boundary setting, communication styles, behavior change, and impulse control are among the students’ favorites.
FOllowed by movement, and meditation
Students engage in gentle, yoga-inspired movement designed to restore balance, regulate the nervous system, and release tension. Each class concludes with reflective practices such as journaling and meditation, allowing teens to process what they have learned and explore how to carry those insights into their everyday lives.
